Wilson Farm Market

August 4, 2013

wilsonfarmmarketIt seems that lately everywhere you turn you hear scary stories about the horrible chemicals and pesticides many manufacturers add to our foods.  Luckily during these warmer months I am able to buy my produce at local farmers markets ranging from Noblesville, to Carmel, to Pendleton.  Unfortunately most of these markets are open solely on Saturday mornings which limits the accessibility to the wonderful fresh produce.  Thankfully I have found a solution in the form of Wilson Farm Market located on 256th Street and U.S. 31 in Arcadia.  This family owned and operated Farmer’s market is open 9am-7pm everyday through October.  This makes is much easier for me to shop for all my fresh fruits and veggies.  But produce certainly isn’t all that they offer.  In addition to the leafy greens and sweet smelling fruits they carry their homemade breads and cookies baked fresh daily, homemade fudge, hand dipped icecream, a wide variety of Amish cheeses, and pumpkins and pumpkin patch in the fall to name a few.  In recent years they have also expanded to add Yoder’s meats from Shipshewana which is all natural and hormone free.  With the size and selection that Wilson Farm Market offers you may be even to skip the grocery store here and there and be a lot healthier for it.  I highly recommend checking out this local gem (but don’t be surprised if you get hooked on their famous pretzel bread!)
